Coagulation

Coagulation

Benign skin imperfections and redness can be treated with coagulation. This can be done using a needle with heat or using the Zapper. In both cases, the skin imperfection is closed or burned off with the help of an electric current. Due to the heat, skin imperfections on the skin are shriveled and blood vessels are burned closed.
What can be treated with coagulation?
Skin imperfections:
– Steel warts/fibromas
– Dermatosis papilosis nigra
– Age warts/verruca seborrhoica
redness:
– Couperose vessels
– Spider/spider nevi
– Cherry angiomas
Treatment frequency
When it comes to a single spot, 1 or 2 treatments are sufficient. When it comes to larger areas with several / dozens of spots, it is better to divide the area into parts and spread it over several treatments. The period between treatments depends on the wound healing process and can vary from 2 to 4 weeks.
When the benign skin irregularities and/or redness have disappeared after the treatment(s). Is it possible that (new) spots will arise? That is why we recommend that you come back once or twice a year for treatment as maintenance.
